In order to become an HPS member and be entitled to receive Philotelia journal free of charge, follow the simple steps below.

(a) Get to know your fees:

  • Annual subscription

    • Europe: €40.00
    • Rest of the world: €45.00
  • One-time registration fee
    • Greece: €5.00
    • Outside Greece: €10.00

(b) Learn about the processing of personal data:

The new General Regulations (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on Data Protection, better known as the GDPR, which upgrades the protection of personal data throughout the European Union, was enforced on 25.5.2018.

The Hellenic Philatelic Society (HPS), based in Academias 57, 10679 Athens, Greece, tel. +30 210 3621125, e-mail: hps@hps.gr, with respect to your personal data, has implemented the new regulations for personal data processing and hereby informs you as follows:

a. The HPS will collect and process your personal data, which will be entered in the application in par. (c) below, for the purposes of your identification and communication with you in the context of serving the HPS purposes, as well as for mailing the “Philotelia” journal to the street address you will submit.

b. The HPS will handle your personal data with the utmost responsibility and will not transfer or share it with third parties.

c. The HPS is obligated to take all reasonable measures to ensure the confidentiality and security of the processing of your data and to protect it from accidental or unauthorized destruction, accidental loss, tampering, prohibited dissemination or access and any other form of unauthorized processing.

d. Only the authorized personnel of the HPS have access to your personal data.

e. Your personal data will be kept in the HPS Secretariat’s registry for as long as you are a member of the HPS and for a reasonable period of time thereafter.

f. You have the right to know what personal data about you are or have been processed (right of access), to object in general at any time and to object to the processing of data concerning you, as well as to request the removal of your data. In order to exercise your rights as above, you may apply in writing to the HPS Secretariat (e-mail: hps@hps.gr).

(c) Complete the membership application form:

Please make sure you fill in the fields you feel necessary, especially the ones marked with the red asterisk.

By selecting the “Submit” button at the bottom of the application form you agree to all the terms of par. (b) above for the processing of your personal data.

Caution! To complete the registration process, the appropriate subscription must be paid as described in the next step.

Bank charges: There are no bank charges for money transfers between two accounts in Piraeus Bank. However, for money transfers from any other bank to Piraeus Bank there are charges involved, which we kindly ask to be born by the remitter.

Your name will be immediately included in the Philotelia subscribers’ list. Along with the next shipment of the journal, you will receive all the previous numbers of the year.
